Objective
Be the first to destroy all 10 cards in your opponent's castle. In "Points" or "Ultimate" mode, have the highest score when the deck runs out.
Gameplay
On your turn, select a card from your hand and attack one of your opponent's castle cards.
- You must destroy the 8 outer cards before you can attack the center "keep".
- If you play a card with a higher value, you win the battle. The defending card is destroyed.
- If the values are equal, both cards are destroyed and sent to the "Destroyed" pile.
- If your card has a lower value, you lose. Your card is then added to an empty slot in your opponent's castle defenses.
The Keep (Center Card)
- Once the 8 outer cards are gone, the keep is vulnerable.
- Losing to the bottom keep card places your attacking card on top of it, creating a stronger defense.
- Losing to the top keep card allows the opponent to use your card to rebuild one of their outer defenses.
Game Modes
- Classic: Win by destroying the castle. The discard pile is reshuffled when the deck runs out.
- Points: Win by having the highest score when the deck runs out. No reshuffles.
- Ultimate: A points-based game where the discard pile can be reshuffled up to 3 times. A '2' card can defeat an Ace ('1')!
